2010 Calendar of Events
August, 2010 - NO MEETINGS THIS MONTH Map and Directions to Brandon High School
Due to new requirements promulgated by the School Board, for groups that meet in Brandon High School, at the present time it appears we will not be able to hold any meetings during August.
September 7, 2010 - General Meeting, at Riverview Library, 10509 Riverview Dr., Riverview, FL (Phone: 813-273-3652)
Fundamentals SIG 7:00 PM
Parker will try to handle your questions, so write down your queries this week, and bring them with you.
Riverview Library:
As of the time this notice was posted, we are still unable to gather in our usual room at Brandon HS. However, in order to resume our meetings after the high school was closed for the summer, Patrick Courtney was able to arrange for our group to use the Community Room at the Riverview Library, which is located just west of U.S. 301 on Riverview Drive.
To get a map of the library's location, either do a Maps search in Google, entering "Riverview Library, Riverview, FL" (with the quotes), and a map will appear.
Directions:
From the intersection of U.S. 301 and Bloomingdale Ave, simply head south on U.S. 301 for 1.8 miles, and turn right (at a traffic light) and head west on Riverview Drive; proceed about two-tenths of a mile; the library will be on your left (the south side of Riverview Dr.).
Or, from the intersection of Bloomingdale Ave. and Providence Rd., head south on Providence Rd. for 1.5 miles to Riverview Drive; make a right turn onto Riverview Dr. Proceed to the traffic light at U.S. 301; go through the light, and continue on Riverview Drive for about two-tenths of a mile; the library will be on your left (the south side of Riverview Dr.).
Parking: we're told that it would be best to proceed to the rear of the library to park one's car.
Meeting room: we are going to meet in the Community Room, which is located near the back of the Library. One can enter the Library either from the rear parking lot, or walk around to the front entrance and proceed to the back of the Library.
Internet connection: we understand that the Library provides free wireless access to the Internet but, as usual in county facilities, certain types of Web sites are blocked. So, bring your laptop if you wish.

Handicapped individuals can park either in the front (north) parking lot adjacent to Victoria St., or at the northern end of the East Parking Lot, proceed to the north side of the school, and enter through the main entrance. Then go left at the first hallway, and proceed to room 129, which will be on the left.
Note: the faculty, staff and students of Brandon HS have a standing invitation to attend any of our meetings.
